1. Do you just carry Oak Furniture?
Our
main focus is solid oak furniture, but we do carry some Maple, Ash
and Cherry. We also have a large selection of Flexsteel sofas and

Most of our customers are not first time furniture
buyers and like to spend time finding just the right pieces of furniture

Yes.
We have delivery and setup in Edmonton and the surrounding area. ( Leduc, Camrose, Wetaskiwin, Ft. Sk., Sherwood Park, St Albert, Beaumont, Devon, Drayton Valley etc.)
7. How long have you been in business?
Oak Ridge Home Furnishings have been in Business

8. Is a thicker table better?
Most tables are either 4 quarters (3/4 in.)
or 5 quarters (1 in.) in thickness and will last for a very long
time in the Alberta environment (warm moist summers will cause the
table to expand and cold dry winters cause the table to shrink).
Tables that are thicker (1 _ in. to 2 in.) will
develop checking and cracking over time, unless there is constant
humidity control.
Thick tables are best suited for climates with
little or no change in humidity (Vancouver or California). TOP^
9. What is your return policy?
For most stock items we offer a full refund.
Any Items that are special ordered for a customer that we can cancel
we will give a full refund.
Any furniture that is delivered by us and has
to be picked up by us will be charged for the pick up. Items that
are custom stained (e.g. kitchen table to match the kitchen cabinets)
can not be returned. TOP^
10. Can I get this in a darker colour?
We can get a large number of pieces in different stain colours from the manufactures, if you need something; in a specific stain colour or gloss, and you can supply the stain we would happy to do it for you. We also have 10 stain colours to choose from. TOP^
11. If I order furniture from you how long will
it take before I get it?
We try to keep our most popular tables and chairs in stock. Most items that are on the floor, we have in stock.
Sofas and upholstered chairs have to be special ordered because there are over 1500 fabrics to choose from. Delivery is usually 6 to 8 weeks.
Getting your furniture to you involves many people and companies; parts suppliers, wood suppliers, fabric suppliers, furniture manufacturers, rail companies, trucking companies, customs agents, and many other people and companies.
They all are trying to do their job and help to get your furniture to you as soon as possible, but things can go wrong, with so many different people and different companies involved. If there is a delay, we will do our best to find out what the delay is and to speed up the process. TOP^

13. How can I pay for my purchase?

14. Do you have contractor prices?
Yes we do have contract prices. A contract minimum
order is 100 chairs and 25 tables.
15. Can I buy unfinished furniture from you?
No,
none of our manufacturers will warranty goods that leave our store
unfinished. We do custom finishing at our store as a service to
our customers. Furniture finished at our store is fully covered
by warranty. TOP^
16. What type of warranty is on our furniture?
Most of the furniture that we carry comes with a 5-year warranty that covers everything except, normal wear and tear, and abuse. Our sofas come with a lifetime warranty on the frame, springs, and foam, and a 1 year warranty on fabric and stitching. We also carry some value priced chairs with a 1 or 5 year warranty. TOP^
17. Do you refinish furniture?
No, we do not have facilities to collect and
store the hazardous chemical used in stripping the furniture. (The
left over chemicals used in furniture stripping is considered hazardous
waste and has to be disposed of in accordance of Alberta’s
environmental laws). TOP^
18. How long before a piece of furniture is
discontinued?
We try to deal with companies that have a large a stable line of furniture. Not furniture companies that drop good selling lines to make room for the newest look, or companies that try to reinvent themselves every couple of years.
Styles and fashions change over the years, and slow selling pieces of furniture are dropped by the manufacturer. We know which pieces sell well and can let you know if a certain chair or other piece of furniture will be available in years to come.
Fabric on upholstered goods is another thing! The mills that produce the fabric can discontinue a fabric at any time (many fabrics have only their introductory run). If you are buying upholstered chairs, you should either buy them all at once or at leased within the next 6 months. TOP^
